Corporate Yoga and/or specialised classes - further info
Corporate yoga classes can be organized as a team-building activity as part of a conference or seminar or as a tool in the actual workplace to teach workers specific stretches and exercises. These sessions can be yoga-based but do not
necessarily have to be "yoga" per se if that suits your workplace environment better. Most of us will work long hours for many years and these days, pain and niggling aches from hours of sitting either at desks or in cars or standing in one spot, combined with chronic injuries from repetitive tasks is endemic. In fact, in the 21st century, back
pain is one of the leading causes of absenteeism in the workplace, costing millions of dollars in lost revenue each year. Yoga-based stretches, awareness of posture and specific exercises may help many in your workplace to better manage stress and perhaps even avoid injuries before they arise.
Nikki Shilling is also available for talks relating to yoga, health and nutrition, yoga demonstrations and to teach at other workshops and seminars. She has also taught young children and teenagers.
